Bali Wedding Bar Service — What to Know Before You Sign Anything
Your bartender arrives early — not just to set up, but to learn your names. Packages, pricing, and the Level 3 moments that make your wedding bar unforgettable.
That First Sip Together
The ceremony is done. You've said the words, exchanged the rings, maybe cried a little (definitely cried a little). Now the sun is dropping toward the ocean, painting everything in that impossible Bali gold, and someone puts a cold, beautifully made cocktail in your hand.
You look at your person. They're laughing with your best friend. Your mum is taking a photo of the sunset. Your dad is already on his second drink and telling the bartender about the time you were five and announced you'd marry the dog.
This is the moment. Not the vows — you'll remember those, of course. But this is the part your guests will talk about for years. The night. The warmth. The feeling that everything was just... easy, and beautiful, and exactly right.
That's what we do. We're Bali Bartender Hire, and we believe your Bali night should be unforgettable — not because of some perfectly curated aesthetic, but because every single person there felt genuinely looked after.
Why Hire a Bar for Your Bali Wedding?
Here's what most wedding bar hire pages will tell you: we have a portable bar, we bring the glasses, we pour drinks. Great. That's the logistics. But you're not really searching "wedding bar hire Bali" because you're worried about glassware, are you?
You're searching because you want to know: will my guests have an incredible time?
And that's a completely different question.
A villa fridge full of Bintang will get people drinks. A Bali wedding bar — a properly hosted one — creates something else entirely. It creates a gathering point. A place where your uncle from Melbourne ends up in a conversation with your college roommate from London. Where your flower girl sneaks a virgin mojito and feels like the most important person in the world. Where your partner's nervous dad finally relaxes because someone kind just handed him a whisky sour and asked him how he's feeling about the speech.
We've done hundreds of weddings across Bali — from six people on a villa terrace in Canggu to big celebrations in Uluwatu. And we can tell you with absolute certainty: the bar is where the magic happens. The ceremony is the reason everyone flew here. The bar is where they fall in love with the night.
That's not a sales pitch. It's just what we've seen, over and over, for years.
What a BBH Wedding Bar Actually Looks Like
Let us paint you a picture, because "mobile bar wedding Bali" doesn't begin to capture it.
Your bartender arrives early. Not just to set up — though they'll do that too, and your bar will look beautiful — but to learn. They want to know your names. Your parents' names. The name of the friend who introduced you. Whether anyone's pregnant or sober or has a thing about coriander in their drinks.
When your guests start arriving after the ceremony, they're not greeted by a stranger behind a bar. They're greeted by someone who says, "You must be Jake — I've heard you're the best man. I made something special for the speech. You're going to be great."
That's not an exaggeration. That's a Tuesday for us.
The little things that become big things
We think a lot about what the hospitality world calls "Level 3 moments" — the tiny, unexpected, personal touches that make someone feel genuinely cared for. Here's what that looks like at a BBH wedding:
- Your signature cocktails have names that mean something. Not "Cocktail A" and "Cocktail B." We'll work with you to name them after your first date spot, your dog, an inside joke — something that makes your guests smile and ask the story.
- You and your partner get the first drinks of the night. Before anyone else. Hand-delivered, wherever you are. A small thing, but after hours of photos and greetings, someone noticing you haven't had a drink yet? That feels like care.
- Your bartender remembers names. Not all of them — they're human — but enough that by the third round, your mum's best friend feels like a regular at her favourite bar.
- A personalised card at the bar. A little note from BBH congratulating you both. It'll probably end up in your wedding keepsake box. Several couples have told us it did.
- Group photos at the bar. Your bartender will grab their phone and capture the candid moments — the group shot where everyone's laughing, the one where your dad is pretending to make cocktails. These often end up being the favourite photos from the night.
- A morning-after message from us. Just checking in. How are the heads? Was it everything you hoped? Do you need us to send paracetamol? (We're mostly joking. Mostly.)
This is the difference between service and hospitality. Service is pouring a drink correctly. Hospitality is making someone feel like the night was made just for them. We're obsessed with the second one.
Wedding Bar Packages & Pricing
Right. Let's talk numbers — because we know you've got a spreadsheet open and you need real figures, not "contact us for a quote" (the most annoying four words in wedding planning).
All our pricing is in IDR. We've included approximate AUD equivalents because we know many of our couples are Australian, but IDR is the working currency here in Bali.
The basics: Bartender & bar setup
Every BBH wedding includes your bartender, the bar setup, all glassware, tools, and ice. The installment fee covers this foundation — think of it as your "we'll be there, set up, and ready to make magic" fee.
| Guest Count | Installment Fee (IDR) | Approx. AUD |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 10 guests | IDR 3.000.000 | ~A$290 |
| 11–20 guests | IDR 4.000.000 | ~A$385 |
| 21–30 guests | IDR 5.000.000 | ~A$480 |
| 31+ guests | Custom quote | — |
A 10% service charge applies to all bookings.
Cocktails
| Item | Price (IDR) | Approx. AUD |
|---|---|---|
| Cocktail token round (10 drinks) | IDR 900.000 | ~A$87 |
| Champagne toast per guest | IDR 150.000 | ~A$15 |
| Champagne Silver (Duval Leroy) | IDR 1.900.000 | ~A$183 |
| Champagne Gold (Roederer) | IDR 3.200.000 | ~A$308 |
Add-ons that make the night
| Add-on | Price (IDR) | Approx. AUD |
|---|---|---|
| DJ & Full Production (3 hours) | IDR 6.925.000 | ~A$667 |
| Grazing Board — Small | IDR 2.550.000 | ~A$245 |

| Grazing Board — Large | IDR 7.500.000 | ~A$720 |
| Essential Décor | IDR 4.000.000 | ~A$385 |
| Premium Décor | IDR 8.950.000 | ~A$860 |
| Private Chef — Villa Feast (per guest) | IDR 595.000 | ~A$57 |
| Private Chef — Premium Plated (per guest) | IDR 795.000 | ~A$77 |
Real example: A 20-guest wedding evening
Because abstract pricing is hard to feel, here's what a real booking might look like for a 20-person wedding celebration — one of the most common sizes we host:
| Item | IDR |
|---|---|
| Bartender & bar setup (11–20 guests) | IDR 4.000.000 |
| 3 rounds of cocktail tokens (30 drinks) | IDR 2.430.000 |
| Champagne toast (20 guests) | IDR 3.000.000 |
| Grazing board — Medium | IDR 5.000.000 |
| Essential Décor | IDR 4.000.000 |
| Subtotal | IDR 18.430.000 |
| 10% service charge | IDR 1.843.000 |
| Total | IDR 20.273.000 (~A$1,950) |
That's a champagne toast at sunset, a cocktail bar running all evening, beautiful food to graze on, and décor that ties it all together — for twenty people, in Bali, for under AUD 2,000. Try getting that in Sydney.
Every package is flexible. You might skip the grazing and add a private chef dinner instead. You might go minimal on décor and spend more on champagne. We'll help you figure out what matters most to your night.
Popular Wedding Cocktail Choices
Every couple gets to choose their signature cocktails, and honestly, this is one of the most fun parts of the planning process. Here are the ones our wedding couples reach for most — and why they work so well in Bali's heat and golden light.
The Espresso Martini
Still undefeated. There's a reason this drink shows up at almost every wedding we do — it's the one that gets the energy up after the emotional crash of the ceremony. Your bartender shakes it hard, the foam is perfect, and suddenly the dance floor doesn't seem so far away. We source local Bali beans for ours, which gives it a slightly earthier, warmer finish than you'd get back home.
The Tommy's Margarita
Simpler than a classic margarita — just tequila, fresh lime, and agave — which means there's nowhere to hide. When it's made properly (and it will be), this is the drink that has people saying "wait, I don't even like tequila." Served over ice with a salt rim, it is absolutely perfect for a Bali sunset session.
The Aperol Spritz
The colour alone earns its place at a wedding. That burnt-orange glow in a wine glass, condensation dripping in the humidity, a big slice of orange — it photographs like a dream and it drinks like summer. Light enough that your guests can have a few without missing the speeches.
Something Just for You
This is where it gets personal. We've made cocktails with butterfly pea flower that change colour when you add lime (the photos were incredible). We've done a gin and lychee number named after a couple's cat. One groom wanted a Negroni variation that honoured his late grandfather's favourite drink — our bartender nailed it, and there wasn't a dry eye at the bar.
Your cocktail doesn't have to be "wedding-ish." It just has to be yours.
How to Book & What Happens Next
This is the easy part. And we mean genuinely easy — not "easy" in the way that vendors say when they actually mean "fill out this 47-field form."
Step 1: Say hello
Send us a message — WhatsApp, email, Instagram DM. Tell us your date, rough guest count, and what you're dreaming of. Don't worry about having it all figured out. Most couples start with "we're getting married in Bali and we want a bar... help?" and that's perfect.
Step 2: Chat with Linna
Linna is the heart of BBH. She'll get back to you personally — usually within a few hours — and start figuring out what you actually need (which is sometimes different from what you think you need, and that's okay). She'll ask about your vibe, your venue, your must-haves and your nice-to-haves. If you're the kind of person who has a Pinterest board with 400 pins, she wants to see it. If you're the kind of person who just wants someone to tell them what to do, she's brilliant at that too.
Step 3: Get your proposal
Within a day or two, you'll receive a clear, detailed proposal — no hidden fees, no confusing line items. Everything itemised in IDR with the 10% service charge shown transparently. For groups of 6–30, we can give you instant pricing. For larger celebrations (31+), Linna will put together a custom quote that makes sense for your specific setup.
Step 4: Lock it in
Happy with everything? A deposit secures your date. From there, Linna stays in touch throughout your planning — she's not the kind of person who takes your money and disappears until the day. She'll check in, answer your midnight "one more question!" messages (time zones are fun), and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Step 5: The night itself
Your bartender arrives, sets up, and the rest is the story you'll tell for years. We handle everything. You handle being in love and having the best night of your life.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should we book our Bali wedding bar?
As early as you can, especially for peak season (May–September). We've taken bookings 12 months out and we've pulled off incredible nights with three weeks' notice — but your stress levels will thank you for booking early. Linna can hold a tentative date while you finalise other details.
Can you cater for a really small wedding — like 6 or 8 people?
Absolutely. Some of our most memorable weddings have been intimate ones — six people around a villa pool, a private chef dinner, and a bartender who has time to make every single drink a masterpiece. Small weddings are not "less than." They're just concentrated magic. Our pricing starts from groups as small as 6.
Do you provide the alcohol, or do we need to buy it ourselves?
We handle everything. Your cocktail token rounds include all spirits mixers, fresh ingredients, and ice. You don't need to set foot in a bottle shop (though if you want to add a specific wine or spirit that's special to you, we can absolutely work that in).
What about non-drinkers and guests who are pregnant or sober?
They're some of our favourite guests to look after. Our bartenders make beautiful non-alcoholic cocktails — not sad glasses of lemonade, but properly crafted mocktails with the same care and presentation as everything else. Nobody should feel left out at a celebration, and they won't.
Can the bar be set up anywhere — beach, villa, cliff-top?
We've set up on beaches, in villa gardens, on cliff-top terraces, beside rice paddies, and in places that required our team to carry everything down 87 stairs (yes, we counted). If you can get married there, we can set up a bar there. Just let us know the venue and we'll figure out the logistics — that's our job, not yours.
Is the installment fee separate from the drinks?
Yes. The installment fee covers your bartender, the bar setup, all equipment, and glassware. Cocktails, champagne, and any add-ons are priced separately so you can build exactly the package you want. The installment fee is a standard part of every booking.
Can we do a cocktail-making activity with our guests?
Yes — and it's a fantastic icebreaker, especially if you have guests who don't know each other yet. Picture your wedding party behind the bar, shaking cocktails, getting competitive, laughing. It's one of those moments that turns a group of individuals into a group of friends. Ask Linna about adding this to your package.
What if our plans change or guest numbers shift?
Plans change. It's a destination wedding — we get it. Guest numbers go up and down, timelines shift, someone decides they absolutely need a fog machine at 11pm. We're flexible and we'll work with you to adjust your package as things evolve. Just keep Linna in the loop and she'll take care of it.
Your Night, Your Way
Here's what we know after years of doing this: you won't remember whether the napkins matched the flowers. You won't remember the exact playlist order. You probably won't even remember what you ate (sorry, Chef).
But you will remember how the night felt. The warmth. The laughter. The moment your best friend grabbed you at the bar and said, "This is the best wedding I've ever been to."
That's the night we want to help you build. Not a perfect event — a perfect feeling.
Whenever you're ready, send Linna a message. She's already excited to meet you.
